Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on January 28, 2009 |
Most of our nurses work one three hour clinic session every 6-8 weeks. In Norwalk, we have adult clinic sessions on Tuesday afternoons and Saturday mornings, a pediatric session on Wednesday afternoons and a Thursday morning Continuity Clinic. Diabetes and Asthma clinics take place monthly on Thursdays. Two volunteer RNs and one or more screeners and interpreters staff each clinic. Our full time APRN clinic director is present during each session to provide continuity and coordination. Our patients are pro-active in caring for their health. The patients acknowledge and appreciate the level of care provided as well as our program's continuing commitment to each of them, and so we enjoy a high rate of patient compliance.
We require a CT RN license and a completed AmeriCares Free Clinic application (found on our web site). We provide malpractice insurance at no charge to all nurse volunteers who meet our insurer's requirements. This opportunity is sponsored by: AmeriCares Free Clinic of Norwalk
We need volunteers who are free at these times
