The main information desk is a busy hub. Phones ring, visitors stop by to ask for directions, flowers arrive and must be checked-in, patients must be directed or taken to various locations. It is never dull. You set the tone for the hospital by being the first contact people have. Being bilingual is a plus, especially Spanish, but is not essential. We would love to meet you.
Excellent hearing and good eyesight and physical ability to walk and on occasion, push a patient in a wheelchair. We will provide a test for Tuberculosis at no charge. A general orientation to the facility is required and further training will be provided until you are at a comfort level. This opportunity is sponsored by: Stamford Hospital

Overall Experience

A terrific learning experience I learn so much while I'm over there
 |
I'm a volunteer in Stamford Hospital working in the Medical Records department. Everyone has been nice and helpful to me make me feel at home. I'm learning and gaining a lot of experience in working in an office. Hopefully get the experience one day to get a job in working in an office. posted by lynnhuntress73 on November 22, 2009 |
