The Yerwood Center is starting it's extended day program from Sept.-June. Our programs are: Yerwood Scholars(K-4th grade), I-XCEL (5th-6th grade), and I-XCEL Teens (9th-12th grade). Some of the opportunities availage are: tutors that will assist with homework help, career exploration, and skills assessment via Skills Tutor software (6th graders). To become a volunteer at The Yerwood Center, you must love working with the youth and the community. We also encourage individuals to be computer literate. Training for the Skills Tutor software is provided.  This opportunity is sponsored by: Yerwood Center

Yerwood Center is located at the corner of est main Street (Route 1) and Fairfield Ave. The door is on West Main.
From Stamford
Take Washington Blvd (Route 137) to Government Center (888 Washington Blvd.) turn right on to Tressor Blvd (Route 1) go across the bridge and past Kentucky Fried Chicken on Your right. We are on the left immediately past KFC
From I95 South
Take Exit 7
Go past train station
Take a right on to Washington Blvd
At 2nd light take a left on to Tressor Blvd
Tressor turns into West Main St.
After 3rd light go up the hill
Center is on your left just before next light
From I95 North
Take Exit 7
At second light take a left on to Washington Blvd
At 2nd light take a left on to Tressor Blvd
Tressor turns into West Main St.
After 3rd light go up the hill
Center is on your left just before next light
Merritt Parkway - Both directions
Take exit 35 High Ridge Road
Turn Right
Follow 137 High Ridge
137 will take a sharp right just after Lord and Taylors
It becomes Cold Spring then Washington Blvd
Turn right at Government Center 888 Washington Blvd
We are on left just after Kentucky Fried Chicken on right
