Last updated on October 28, 2009

SCORE needs a volunteer with Spanish-speaking ability who has owned a small business(or has comparable corporate experience) that can counsel small business owners or potential owners. This person should be personable, feel comfortable in giving business advice, be familiar with the business planning process and be able to commit 3-8 hours per week.
The opportunity entails 3 hours per week in the office, a 3 hour monthly meeting and additional hours for counseling and other various duties. The person would become a member of SCORE(no membership fees or dues are involved).

We would train the volunteer in our office procedures and let them sit in on counseling sessions before they begin counseling. Only people with the appropriate business skills should volunteer. The volunteer should be able to commit 3-8 hours per week.
