Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on January 28, 2009 |
Most of our nurses work one three to four hour clinic session every 6-8 weeks. In Danbury, we have adult clinic sessions on Wednesday early evenings and Saturday mornings. We also have Continuity Clinic sessions at other times during the week. Two or three volunteer RNs and usually two screeners and interpreters staff each clinic. Our full time nurse clinic director and administrative assistant are present during each session to provide continuity and coordination. Our patients are pro-active in caring for their health. The patients acknowledge and appreciate the level of care provided as well as our program's continuing commitment to each of them, and so we enjoy a high rate of patient compliance. We require a CT RN license and a completed AmeriCares Free Clinic application (found on our web site). We provide malpractice insurance at no charge to all nurse volunteers who meet our insurer's requirements. This opportunity is sponsored by: AmeriCares Free Clinic of Danbury
We need volunteers who are free at these times
