Logo

9 Queens is non-profit organization that promotes and provides chess education to under-served and under-represented populations, especially girls and at-risk youth. Our mission is to provide all children with equal opportunities to realize their potential and enjoy the benefits of chess education. Through chess, we motivate, empower and engage under-served and under-represented youth to achieve academic and personal success.

Description:
9 Queens provides a range of free chess education programs in Tucson. 9 Queens offers a range of programs designed to extend the benefits of chess to under-served and under-represented populations. It is an unfortunate reality that in the United States, all children do not have equal access to chess education. For the most part, only children with the financial resources and initial interest to seek chess instruction outside of school are exposed to its benefits. Our chess education programs specifically target girls and disadvantaged youth.
