Our mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is to assure the development of the means to cure and control cystic fibrosis and to improve the quality of life for those with the disease.
Description:
Cystic fibrosis is the number one life threatning disease of children and young adults in our nation today. We have also been rated as the number one non profit health agency in the United States by Smart Money Magazine (Dec 2003)
We raise awareness and funds to provide for scientific research in our search for a cure for this genetic disease. Our activities include, "Great Strides" a walk-a-thon held in Tucson, Oro Valley and Sierra Vista, "Breath of Life" a dinner gala honoring a deserving member of the community. We have special fund raising events throughout the year, ie., Outback Luncheons, Rummage sales, and CureFinder school events.
