Hospice Family Care
Hospice is a philosophy carried out by a team of professionals and volunteers, who address physical and practical needs, emotional and spiritual needs, pain management and other quality of life issues. Hospice Family Care is certified by Medicare to care for people facing any end-stage disease or terminal illness. Hospice Family Care is open to anyone, of any age, diagnosis or financial status.
Description:
While Hospice Family Care is a for-profit organization, its not-for-profit Hospice Family Care Foundation is dedicated to improving or maintaining the terminally ill person's quality of life, regardless of financial status. All are welcome. Hospice volunteers are people who are trained to provide companionship and assistance to terminally ill people and their families. Volunteers come from all walks of life and generously offer time to people in need. Patients are usually at home, in a skilled care facility or in our inpatient unit. Any person sixteen years of age or older who has completed our comprehensive, free training program can volunteer with us.
