The American Lung Association's mission is to prevent lung disease and promote lung health. Our goal is to ultimately see cures, clean air and smoke free kids.
Description:
Working together with volunteers and the community, the American Lung Association of Arizona targets three key areas - asthma, air quality and tobacco control - through research, education and advocacy. We have many volunteer opportunities, including office and computer support, community outreach, smoking cessation trainers, Asthma Camp staff, Event Committees, and more. We provide a wide variety of programs and services to the community, including Open Airways for Schools, Camp Not-A-Wheeze for children with moderate to severe asthma, Freedom From Smoking courses, and Smoke-Free Arizona advocacy. Our major fundraising events each year are the Walk for Life and Breath,the Respiratory Rally,and a Stair Climb. Give us a call!
