American Lung Association Of Arizona
The American Lung Association's mission is to prevent lung disease and promote lung health. Our goal is to ultimately see cures, clean air and smoke free kids.
Description:
Working together with volunteers and the community, the American Lung Association of Arizona targets three key areas - asthma, air quality and tobacco control - through research, education and advocacy.
We have many volunteer opportunities, including office and computer support, community outreach, smoking cessation trainers, Asthma Camp staff, Event Committees, and more.
We provide a wide variety of programs and services to the community, including Open Airways for Schools, Camp Not-A-Wheeze for children with moderate to severe asthma, Freedom From Smoking courses, and Smoke-Free Arizona advocacy.
Our major fundraising events each year are the Walk for Life and Breath,the Respiratory Rally,and a Stair Climb.
