We currently have a Board of Directors, Central Coordinator / Transportation Coordinator. We provide Transportation for Medical appts. Grocery shopping, Running errands, Friendly visits, Friendly phone calls light yard work, light housekeeping, dog walking, Minor house repairs, Letter writing, and filling out forms.
We maintain office hours from 9:00am to 3:00pm Monday through Friday; are currently able to reimburse .55 cents per mile for mileage driven during transporting clients. We ask our volunteers to tell us when they are available, how many hours per week, or how many times per week they can be available. We do require a two hour orientation class for our volunteers, which provides them with an overview of what our program is about, what we expect and what they can expect of us. Due to schedules we understand that our volunteers can not always attend a scheduled class, we therefore try to provide opportunities each following month and encourage our volunteers to begin as early as possible and take the class when it works out with their schedule.
We are currently made up of several Faith-Based Communities, Neighborhood Associations participating together with ongoing monthly meetings.
