Description:
The Valley of the Moon is an historic fantasy fairyland built in 1932 by George Legler. It is a 2 and 1/2 acre property at 2544 East Allen Road, Tucson Arizona 85716. It is a collection of rock and concrete structures made into series of winding paths, secret caves, fairy houses, and underground tunnels. George Legler believed that Happiness is Given and not Sold, so he built the Valley of the Moon and gave free tours for over 40 years where he told stories and performed magical illusions, sometimes with rabbits as "actors" in his stories. Today, the Valley of the Moon carries on in George's memory doing free historic tours, and community theater using families and children of all ages.

Valley Of The Moon 5 Overall Experience    Experience rating
Always a fun experience
The Valley is a wonderful Tucson tradition! I participated in a performance of "the Hobbit" in April 05, and I had an absolute blast. It was a great experience helping keep the legend of George Legler, that ol' mountain gnome, alive, and I hope more people volunteer and make it even better than before.
