Provide crucial life-skills to our refugee clients. Parenting material for the curriculum is provided, although you are welcome to supplement or modify it if you wish. Tasks: -Teach a parenting class once per week. -Keep track of your hours & submit them to the volunteer coordinator at the end of each month. Benefits: -Cultural enrichment. -Training opportunities (orientation & ongoing). -Flexible schedule. -Teaching experience. Time Commitment: The class would need to meet once a week. The duration of the class is negotiable and the time/day of the week the class will meet is flexible, depending on your schedule. Location: Since most refugees are settled in the central part of Tucson and the MRS office is located near the corner of Speedway & Stone, most volunteer opportunities take place in that part of the city.
-Age 18+ -Fluent in English -Available to at least 2hrs/week -Reliable (transportation & otherwise) -Attend a "Refugee 101" orientation -Background check
