Financial Education Teacher

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Provide crucial life-skills to our refugee clients. The financial education curriculum is provided, although you are welcome to supplement or modify it if you wish. The content is very basic (opening a bank account, budgeting, etc.) and is intended for students unfamiliar with handling & managing money.

Tasks:
-Teach a financial education class once per week.
-Keep track of your hours & submit them to the volunteer coordinator at the end of each month.

Time Commitment:
The class would need to meet once a week. The duration of the class is negotiable and the time/day of the week the class will meet is flexible, depending on your schedule.

Location:
Since most refugees are settled in the central part of Tucson and the MRS office is located near the corner of Speedway & Stone, most volunteer opportunities take place in that part of the city.

-Age 18+
-Fluent in English
-Available at least 2hr/week
-Reliable (transportation & otherwise)
-Attend a "Refugee 101" orientation
-Background check
