Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Tucson-area community groups may volunteer on a one-time or ongoing basis to Adopt a Park, Street, Wash, Desert and other public areas. Keep our community clean and safe by adopting a park - clean up litter, report graffiti and maintenance problems in our public areas!

This project recommended for volunteer groups of all ages, with a minimum of five volunteers and at least one group coordinator over age 18. If you are an individual and not part of an organized group, we can also email you when there are upcoming community projects where individual volunteers are welcome to participate.

Tucson Clean & Beautiful provides litter collection bags and arranges for removal of collected litter; we recommend bringing leather or other protective gloves, wearing closed-toe shoes, long sleeves & pants. For Adopt-a-Wash groups, volunteers 12-17 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian (no Adopt-a-Wash volunteers under 12 years of age). For Adopt-a-Street cleanup projects on major thoroughfares, all volunteers MUST be over 18 years of age. Volunteer group leaders will briefly meet in-person with the program coordinator at least 1-2 weeks in advance of the project to select an appropriate site and arrange for supplies.
