Share your love of reading and the English language. Explore the possibility of becoming a tutor for adults in need of basic literacy (reading & writing) and English skills. Eager adult students are waiting for tutors! Students are taught one on one and in group settings. Start by signing up for a Volunteer Orientation. Orientations are no-commitment information sessions about the mission, volunteer opportunities, and impact of LVT. Reserve a seat! To sign up for an orientation, or for more information or directions, contact Melisa DeNinno at mdeninno@lovetoread.org or 882-8006.
Volunteers must be a minimum age of 18 with a high school diploma or equivalent. After attending orientation, interested volunteers will complete a tutor training workshop before working with students.
