Seniors are worth the effort! Eastside Neighbors Care Program (ENVP) is looking for people living on the Eastside of Tucson who are available to help our senior citizens. (55 and Older) with rides to and from medical appointments-grocery shopping, and errands. An average transport involves about 3 hours and you can volunteer once a week (preferable in the AM hours) or several times a week, the choice is according to your schedule. (ENVP has other opportunities to help needing seniors for younger volunteers, please call our office at 245-4729 to inquire) ENVP offers a free two hour training, 58.5 cent per mile mileage reimbursement, volunteer/client appreciation events, and links to regular trainings and information on community building and elder issues.
Requirements: In Office Interview lasting about 1 hour. 2 personal references. Good driving record - No moving citations last 3 years *Desire to enhance the lives of "senior citizens." who usually need just a little help to maintain their independence. *Attendance of a volunteer interview and one time, two hour orientation and training provided by PCOA, NCA and ENVP. *Current driver's license and a clean driving record. *Auto insurance *21 year or older in age
