We invite you to become a member of our public broadcasting team. Help us be more efficient in bringing high quality children's programs, arts, culture, science and discovery to our region.
Front office volunteer staff are responsible for greeting and guiding guests and visitors to Arizona Public Media's TV & radio studios. We have many guests that appear on our nightly news magazine program, Arizona Illustrated, as well as for radio interviews. Public tour groups and other guests frequent the station.
Some of the other duties include answering phones, maintaining the lobby atmosphere, assisting various departments with projects and helping with station events.
We ask that volunteers commit to one or more shifts per week for one of the following days & times:
Monday - Friday (10:00 am - 1:00 pm or 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm)
Our requirements for this position include an interview & general orientation prior to accepting the position. We encourage volunteers to commit to work with AZPM for a minimum of one year in this position.
Good people and phone skills are a must. If you are comfortable meeting and greeting a wide range of people, you are ideally suited for this job.
