Tucson Zoological Society

The Zoological Society is the nonprofit/business arm of Reid Park Zoo, responsible for memberships, education, events and capital campaigns. The Society enhances the value of Reid Park Zoo to the community.

Currently the Society is seeking candidates for a leadership position, the Development of a Speaker's Bureau. This program planner will design and implement a speaker's bureau to promote Reid Park Zoo through programs to be presented in the community.

A volunteer with planning, marketing, and promotional skills will work with the Executive Director on program design and format for the speaker's bureau. The goal of the project is to create a program which will reach diverse groups in the community and open up opportunities for partnerships with the academic community and other resources to expand the outreach of the Zoo and the Society. The project will include the development of a contact list, design of materials to support the bureau, and the development of strategies for dealing with the media.

Interested candidates can contact Mike Carter, Executive Director at (520) 881-4753 x14 or  (email this person).
