| Docents at the Tucson Museum of Art are dynamic, enthusiastic people with a lively interest in art. They relish the opportunity to learn more and can do so in these classes and in ongoing activities at the Museum. Docents contribute to the cultural life of the community by giving tours of Museum exhibitions, presenting art lectures to the public, and taking the excitement of art to children in the schools and in hospitals. They welcome visitors at the reception desk, help in the research of exhibitions and artists, and assist the Museum in other related tasks. Volunteering as a docent at TMA has many rewards, not the least of which is association with fellow art enthusiasts.
Docent Training classes will meet on Thursdays. Some additional time for activities, field trip and observations will be expected.
Learn more about becoming a docent on September 11, 2007 at 10 am at an orientation coffee at the Museum.
