Project ACHIEVE is a mentoring program that provides mentors for Amphitheater School District students in grades four through eight.  The focus is on building math, language and literacy skills -- and on building a personal relationship between the mentor and student.  ACHIEVE believes that students are most successful in school and life when they have the consistent support of caring adults.

Why be a mentor for Project ACHIEVE?

*Students show an 85% improvement in standardized test scores and a reduction in disciplinary infractions.

*Students and their families benefit tremendously because they are often limited by their own available resources and language barriers.

*For an hour and a half to two hours, one day a week after school, you can make a significant impact, and have fun joining other volunteers in building a successful program.

Mentors are asked to give a one year commitment.  References and (free) finger printing are required.
