Kidline volunteers are friendly listeners for children who may be home alone or just want to talk to someone.

The phone line is staffed by volunteers Monday through Friday,  Kidline volunteers are always supervised by a staff member who can answer questions and help handle calls.

The details:

·        Volunteers sign up for a minimum of one 2.5 hour shift each week and make a minimum 2.5 month commitment to that shift.

·        Kidline volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and attending high school or college.

·        A three-hour training is required.

·        A volunteer application must also be filled out, including three references. The agency will handle fingerprint clearance for volunteers 18 or older who do not have a fingerprint clearance card.
