Kidline volunteers are friendly listeners for children who may be home alone or just want to talk to someone.
The phone line is staffed by volunteers Monday through Friday, 3 to 8 p.m.Kidline volunteers are always supervised by a staff member who can answer questions and help handle calls.
The details:
·Volunteers sign up for a minimum of one 2.5 hour shift each week and make a minimum 2.5 month commitment to that shift.
·Kidline volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and attending high school or college.
·A three-hour training is required.
·A volunteer application must also be filled out, including three references. The agency will handle fingerprint clearance for volunteers 18 or older who do not have a fingerprint clearance card.
