Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Emerald Youth Foundations' goal for Academic Reinforcement is to connect to learning in school through reading and math activities, homework assistance, tutoring, and school personnel contacts. Volunteers may assist or lead (with the proper training) the following: reading, math, homework, tutoring. These opportunities take place between 3pm-5.30pm. The volunteer would not be needed for the full time period but that is when these opportunities would take place.

All volunteers do have to complete an application and a background check (this is done by Emerald Youth Foundation).Training is available. Training is preferred but is not mandatory for volunteers to act in a supporting role. However, to lead activities training is necessary.
