Volunteer Opportunity Details:

ETTAC operates a recycling program for durable medical equipment, i.e. wheelchairs, walkers, canes, transfer benches, toilet chairs, and hospital beds. This program has grown fast and we have seen an enormous need for this equipment in Knox County and surrounding counties with the cutbacks in healthcare and the economy. Many families are not able to buy the expensive durable medical equipment needed and don't have any insurance. We have equipment both for loan and give away. We simply are short on staff at our nonprofit and find that we have a need to have many of these items thoroughly cleaned once over. We especially need volunteers to pick up and deliver equipment to clients. Please contact us if you are interested in volunteering. Groups are welcome.
