Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Position Objective: To provide a minimum of 6 hours of unpaid volunteer services to Child & Family Tennessee within a 3-month period.

Term of Service: 3 months

Essential Functions:

• Schedule a minimum of 8 hours every 3 months up to 8 hours per month to visit the assigned program to offer a needed service or to fulfill a wish to adults and / or youth
• Serve as a volunteer representative of Child & Family Tennessee in the community.
• Communicate with the Volunteer Coordinator to ensure the success of you as the volunteer, as well as the success of Child & Family Tennessee

Qualifications:


• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have own transportation or ability to arrive at the program at scheduled time
• Must be able to fill a need or wish (i.e. hair cuts, manicures, mechanic, van detail / wash, organization – for donations and other items, shelter maintenance, wall / building painting, collect hygiene items, collect clothing, pick up recycling)
  
  
Skills:

• Must obtain a skill that can be offered to clients /
• Excellent communication skills (assertive, yet verbally affirming – i.e. “You can do it!”)
• Must be positive and have a good outlook on life
• Ability to interact with and instruct clients while utilizing the rules, regulations, and standards of Child & Family Tennessee
• Ability to speak, read, and write English at a High School Level
• High level of motivation, enthusiasm, energy, and creativity
