Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on September 23, 2009 |
We need families to come in and assist our activities department with games and other group activities. We have families that come in and help with bowling. We have a ramp that guides the ball and we need helpers to set up pins, and alert residents that it is their turn and keep score. Sometimes we need help with bingo - calling numbers or helping someone who can't see to direct them to place tokens on cards. Sometimes it is helping residents get to an activity, sit with them and assist them and help them get back to their rooms. Sometimes it is an extra set of hands to help with a craft or serve ice cream or popcorn. Volunteers should be able to push wheelchairs and be able bodied to help with bowling or other physical activities. Training and orientation is provided. You will receive a handbook. This opportunity is sponsored by: Beacon Hill at Eastgate
