Volunteers will be assisting victims and their families through the first critical hours after the crime is reported. Volunteers will be "on call" on week nights and weekends. They can respond "on scene" with law enforcement or at Amberly's Place and provide crisis advocacy services. Please call Diane Umphress at 373-0849 to request an application. Volunteers must be at least 21 years of age. There is a 24 hour extensive training. Victims need a warm smile and caring non -judgmental heart to guide them through the reporting process.
