Volunteers in Plano/Volunteer Resources Group is part of the City of Plano Parks and Recreation Department providing services in various municipal government settings to the citizens of the City of Plano, Texas.
History:
Volunteers are and have been an essential part of the City of Plano for almost two decades providing assistance in a variety of City programs targeting the needs of City staff and the community making Plano a better place to live, work, and play. Volunteers represent the diversity of Plano's population and come from all walks of life and age groups assisting in implementing parks and recreation and library programs, teaching benefits of recycling and composting, and working with the Police and Fire Departments, as well as opportunities throughout other City departments.
