Description:
The Historic Downtown Plano Association oversees the revitalization and the preservation of the district. The HDPA serves the property owners, merchants, residents, non-profit/civic groups and all interested parties that serve downtown. The goal is to serve in the areas of education, advocacy, and promotion of the area as it works towards the goal of revitalization the area and preserving the historic elements of the area. The HDPA works to bring awareness of Downtown Plano through marketing, special events, and overall promotion. The group also works to bring awareness for its members through marketing and promotional programs.
History:
The Historic Downtown Plano Association predates through the late 80s as the City Center Association. The Historic Downtown Plano Association became the official name in January 2007 with the election of officers and the submission of IRS 501 C 6 papers.
