North Texas Cat Rescue is committed to the humane and compassionate treatment of cats.

Description:
North Texas Cat Rescue (NTCR) is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.Its fundamental role is to rescue cats held in local animal shelter. The cats/kittens are tested for FelV/FIV, vaccinated, wormed and deflead before being placed in foster homes where they will be socialized and prepared for a life in a home environment.

NTCR is essentially a network of foster parents.

NTCR finds permanent loving homes for adoptable cats through its adoption program.Weekly adoptions are held at 2 locations in McKinney.

Some of our cats/kittens are featured at the permanent Petsmart adoption center throughout the week.

NTCR helps reduce euthanasia in local shelter by spreading awareness of pet overpopulation;the importance of spaying and neutering;and the plight of feral and stray cats

NTCR assists with TNR in the community and responds to the best of its ability to requests for assistance with feral and stray cats.( TNR and management of small colonies)
