National Osteoporosis Foundation North Dallas Support Group
The National Osteoporosis Foundation Affiliated Support Group Program, Building Strength Together, was created to help people start osteoporosis support groups for patients, family members and friends in their own community.
Description:
The purpose of the National Osteoporosis Foundation North Dallas Support Group meetings is to support the goals of the National Osteoporosis Foundation by:
- Providing accurate, current osteoporosis information to patients, and when appropriate, family members and care providers; and
- Creating opportunities for affected persons to share concerns, problems and coping strategies regarding their disease management.
Our meetings are free and open to the public.
History:
Started in October, 2008, by Jennie Image and Rita Clarke, the North Dallas group also embraces the National Osteoporosis Foundation's vision to make bone health a reality and a lifelong priority for all individuals. Established in 1984, the National Osteoporosis Foundation is the nation's leading voluntary health organization solely dedicated to osteoporosis and bone health.
