City Of McKinney Storm Water Management

To protect the health and safety of the environment, the city population, and the general public;
To address both stormwater quality and stormwater quantity concerns; and
To meet or exceed Federal and state requirements regarding stormwater.

Description:
The City of McKinney has developed a Storm Water Management Program in accordance with TPDES requirements for obtaining authorization for storm water and certain non-storm water discharges. The Storm Water Management Program has been developed in accordance with guidelines established by TCEQ for coverage under the TPDES General Permit. The Storm Water Management Program has been developed to:

reduce the discharge of pollutants from the City's MS4 to the maximum extent practicable;
to protect water quality; and
to satisfy the appropriate water quality requirements of the Clean Water Act and the Texas Water Code.

History:
The City of McKinney was first established in 1841.
