Children and Community Health Center of McKinney is a free medical clinic serving the medically uninsured and underserved children and adults of McKinney and northern Collin county with dignity and compassion as we strive to build a stronger and healthier community of neighbors.

Description:
CCHC provides free basic healthcare through volunteer medical providers, nurses, office assistants and translators to families and individuals who cannot afford health insurance. We serve as the primary healthcare provider for our patients, following their conditions and helping them to have a better quality of life. With the rapid growth of Collin County, CCHC expanded its clinic hours and is now open 4 days a week from 10-3, Tuesday night at 5:15 for Children's walk-in clinic and Wednesday night at 5:30 for adult cinic by appointment only.

History:
In 1999, the clinic was a dream of the founder, Mary Nelle Cummins. When it opened in August 2004, many thought it would close within a year. Since that time CCHC has provided healthcare for 5,000+ children and adults. We are affiliated with Volunteers in Medicine (VIM), who have a long service history.
Funding is provided by private donations, civic organizations, churches, grants, local hospitals and the Gala which is held each February or March.
The Board of Directors includes 14 community leaders including physicians, nurses, teachers, insurance representatives, hospital administrators, and community volunteers.
