Description:
The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Texas is the leading animal welfare agency in North Texas with two animal care centers located in Dallas and McKinney. We have two spay/neuter and wellness clinics one in Dallas and one in McKinney. We serve as an active resource center providing an array of programs and services that bring people and animals together to enrich each others' lives. Named the SPCA of Texas in 1990, a directive was given by the board of directors to provide investigations and rescue of animals throughout the state.

A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the SPCA of Texas is dedicated to the welfare of animals and numerous people programs. Responding to the community though private donations since 1938, the SPCA does not place any time limits on animals awaiting adoption.

History:
The SPCA of Texas, founded in 1938, is a private,non-profit organization dedicated to helping the animals in our community. The SPCA of Texas is the Metroplex's only full service animal care agency in the area, providing not only adoption and foster care programs in two facilities, but also educational outreach, spay/neuter clinic's, and a rescue and investigations service.
