Frisco Family Services Center
To provide services to individuals & families in need and assist them in becoming productive members of the Frisco community.
Description:
We serve Frisco, and those who live within the Frisco I.S.D (parts of McKinney, Plano, & Little Elm). The services we offer include a food pantry, emergency financial assistance with rent or utilities, clothing and house hold assistance, and a referral service. Volunteers help run the office, food pantry and Re-Sale store. In addition to these activities, we have many special events going on all year where we need volunteers. All these activities aim to make FFSC better known in the community and to raise funds to provide assistance to our clients. If you wish to join us in accomplishing our mission, the first step is to attend volunteer orientation. Visit our website to download the monthly orientation schedule and sign up!
History:
FFSC was founded in 1994 by a group of concerned citizens, and offered food and used clothing. Our services have expanded since that time, and now include vocational training along with assistance with food and finances.

Overall Experience

Great way to help my community, fellow man and myself grow in God.

My family is very blessed, and volunteering is my means of giving back to our community and being involved. There is no greater gift than giving unselfishly of oneself. I have made many life-long friends and touched many lives. posted by Hurricanealley on December 21, 2003 |
