Our mission is to provide groceries on an emergency basis to families and individuals who have found themselves in a state of crisis.
Description:
Located at 307 Smith Street in McKinney, The Community Food Pantry of McKinney is a non-profit outreach program that provides food to families and individuals in need. We are not bound by any geographical scope. Our primary goal is to insure that no one goes to bed hungry. Donations are accepted Monday - Friday - 1-3pm and Saturdays - 9-11am. Please call Carol or Cathy at 972.547.4404 to obtain the current list of needed items. If you would prefer to make a cash donation, you may mail it or drop it off during regular hours.
History:
The Community Food Pantry of McKinney was formed 32 years ago as an all-volunteer organization to provide groceries and referrals to families and individuals in need. In 2008, groceries were provided to prepare over 147,320 meals. Those meals fed over 4,500 families that included 7,829 children and 6,903 adults. This organization remains all-volunteer and is certified as a 501(c)3, non-profit organization by the Internal Revenue Service.
