New Beginning Center

New Beginning Center fosters an environment of safety, support, and respect for families affected by domestic violence through crisis intervention, counseling, shelter, education, and diverse community partnerships.

Description:
New Beginning Center has two locations in the Garland area and one in Mesquite. In addition to our Victims Outreach Program, emergency shelter, and Battering Intervention and Prevention Program, we also provide emergency food pantry and clothing. We also provide limited legal advocacy services. Our Community Education Program works primarily with Junior High and High School students with the goal of reducing domestic violence in the long term.

History:
New Beginning Center was established January 3, 1983 in Garland, TX by members of the Garland Service League. Through the generosity of our donors and volunteers we have continued to grow in response to the critical need for service to victims of domestic violence. We believe that everyone has the right to be safe.
