The Fire Department attempts to assist citizens in obtaining and maintaining the maximum level of safety by providing smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, and replacement batteries for existing alarms for citizens otherwise unable to obtain these products. 10-year, 9-Volt lithium batteries are an excellent tool in assisting with this goal. Funding is limited, and donation of batteries is welcome so that we can provide this valuable life safety service to our citizens on an as needed, case-by-case basis.
