Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Calling all animal lovers! We are expanding our animal exhibits at the Heard Museum. We looking for dedicated volunteers willing to be trained and work alongside our Heard staff members.
Your mission if you choose to accept is to help staff motivate visitors to care enough about the natural world to take an interest in restoring and preserving the earth's ecosystems. By utilizing wild animal's "ambassadors" (that's YOU) who can emotionally connect our visitors to the places these animals live, we can inspire children and adults to take a more proactive role in conserving wild places.

We are looking for volunteers who are willing to commit to a once a week schedule. You must be at least 18 years old. Volunteer applications must be filled out and a background check completed. You can download volunteer applications at www.heardmuseum.org.

Exit I-75N east onto Hwy 5 and 121. Continue on Hwy 5 toward McKinney 2 miles, bear right onto Hwy 5 South. Continue 1-2 miles to FM 1378 (look for Heard sign), turn left onto FM 1378, go 2 miles to Nature Place, turn left into Heard main entrance.
