Volunteer Opportunity Details:

A 16 year old boy, who has been in foster care for 8 years has recently moved to the area. After being abandoned by his parents, and moved between 7 foster homes, he fallen behind in school. He is a sweet and outgoing child. He needs tutoring in core high school subjects such as English, Spanish, Algebra and Science. He needs consistency, and someone who can encourage him to do his best. Someone who can commit to at least 2 hours a week would be best. Tutoring will take place at the home of his foster parents, which is located in North West McKinney. A quiet area and all supplies needed will be provided. A certified teacher is preferred, but not required.

Volunteers for this position will be under the supervision of the child's foster parents, and Regional Director of Embrace. They will submit to a background check.
