Daytime Advocate volunteers help answer the Crisis hotline between 9am-5pm and/or are on call to go to one of the area hospitals when a victim of sexual assault comes in for an exam. Volunteer Advocates who go to the hospital offer crisis intervention and emotional support for the victim and the victims family. Crisis hotline volunteers answer calls coming in to the 24-hour hotline and offer emotional support and crisis intervention to those in need. Volunteers can choose which days and times they want to volunteer. Volunteer's can also choose to help with administration and paperwork in the office while also answering crisis calls. This is a great opportunity for people who want to directly work with those in need of support. The volunteer are required to go through a 30 hour certified training that we provide at The Turning Point. This opportunity is sponsored by: The Turning Point (Rape Crisis Center of Collin County)
