Volunteer Opportunity Details:

If you or your group is interested in volunteering in this year relay, please complete either the on-line request or printable volunteer registration form on the page below. Both the on-line and printable forms have a questionnaire. Please complete all the requested information, so we can best match you with our volunteer needs.

If you are a student you must include your faculty advisor name and contact information. If you are under 18 we must have a parent or guardian’s signature on a completed form before you will be notified of your volunteer assignment.

We are looking for:

• Boy Scouts (troops or individuals)
• Girl Scouts(troops or individuals)
• Church groups
• Students needing service hours
• Families & friends
• Support groups
• Anyone who wants to be part of one of McKinney’s greatest family events

Here are some of our volunteer needs:

• Survivor Celebration Dinner – Friday, March 27th, 2009
 Volunteer needs to be determined
• Solicit donations for Survivor activities
 now until Relay
• Survivor Tent (set up/clean up)
 Volunteer needs to be determined
• Relay night Survivor Ceremony
 Volunteer needs to be determined
• Camp site set-up
 30 + volunteers
• Luminary set up
 9-15 volunteers
• Hush Angels (Luminaria Ceremony)
 30 - 40 volunteers
• Relay night activities (bounce house monitors)
 10-15 needed through out the night
• Logistics (Site set-up)
 Volunteer needs to be determined
• Make phone calls
 As needed for various meetings and events – 5-10 volunteers
• Site clean up
 40 + volunteers
