This is your opportunity to be a founding member of the first National Osteoporosis Foundation's McKinney Support Group. I invite anyone interested in supporting the development of such an important community service. I invite patients, family members or caregivers, healthcare professionals, or enthusiastic members of the public to join me in forming this new group. I am not familiar with the area, so will need help initially with finding a suitable location for our meetings, setting a date and time, and helping me to publicize the meetings. And ideal candidate would have some knowledge of osteoporosis, be knowledgeable of community resources, a good listener, a good organizer, non-judgmental, ability to show compassion while being emotionally strong, and have a good sense of humor.
