Secret Santa for Seniors is a program through which seniors make a personal request for gifts and volunteer-donors purchase, wrap, and deliver the presents during December. For many of the seniors, this will be the only gift they receive. The gift requests vary greatly and may be a sweater, a bird feeder, or a Wal-Mart gift card to help with prescriptions for example. A minimum of $25.00 in value is requested. Please call the office for the dates to pick up a gift tag with a senior’s “wish list” at 972-562-6996 ext. 125. Wrapped gifts are due back at the agency no later than November 20th. This opportunity is sponsored by: Collin County Committee on Aging

Wonderful and Truly Amazing

I volunteered to do Meals on Wheels one summer and it was an amazing and truly heart warming time. The people are so grateful and you become attached very quickly. posted on September 9, 2005 |
