The Office of Volunteer and Community Engagement at the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) provides these web links for information on intergenerational learning and service-learning opportunities: Volunteer at DADS - www.volunteeratdads.org An overview of all volunteer and community engagement opportunities within the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services Silver Lining – www.silverliningatdads.org Intergenerational service-learning models and community service opportunities for all ages Texercise – www.texercise.com A health promotions program that promotes physical activity and nutrition; often paired with DADS Silver Lining program for students; students implement the Texercise program with adults living in a nursing home, assisted living facility or state supported living center. Student can also integrate Texercise into other volunteering opportunities that promote health and wellness.
