Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on October 27, 2009 |
The Hendrick Scholarship Foundation provides scholarships to students who are the first in their family to go to college. They need to juggle their studies, work, and other obligations. They need mentors who will listen and encourage them. Most of the time, our mentors and students maintain contact by occasional emails or phone calls. Our students are particularly interested in having mentors who can talk to them about preparing for their careers. For example, we have students who are majoring in computer graphics design who would like mentors who can talk to them about what it is like to be in that field. It doesn't take much effort on your part to make quite a difference in someone else's life. Contact us to find out more!
We are looking for mentors who have college degrees since students will be sharing about their college experiences. We will provide training. All mentors will need to submit information for criminal background checks. This opportunity is sponsored by: Hendrick Scholarship Foundation
