CONTACT Crisis Line provides a volunteer opportunity that will teach you crisis management techniques, develop your listening skills, and enhance your interactions with family, friends and co-workers. Our crisis line specialists help our callers through some of life’s most critical moments by providing a caring human connection, a trained listening ear, and a connection to resources. CONTACT Crisis Line provides a fantastic 40 hour training course which teaches you some wonderful like skills, like communication and listening. To cover the cost of training materials and background check, we do ask for a $35 tuition donation, $25 for students and seniors 55+), with a commitment of two, four-hour shifts per month. We look for at least a one year time commitment. You must be at least 18 years of age. (We do not want the fee to be an obstacle to your participating as a volunteer; let us know as we do have scholarships available.)
