Disaster Action Team Members Members will be on call to respond to disasters in Collin County, assisting those affected with immediate emergency needs. Opportunities available for days, evenings and weekend coverage. Training is provided at no charge to interested volunteers.
Volunteer must take the following core training: Introduction to Disaster (Available Online), American Red Cross Orientation must be taken within 30 days of placement, Disaster Action Team Workshop, the following is also recommended Fulfilling our Mission, Mass Care Overview, Shelter Operations, Disaster Action Team on call observation. Volunteering can begin as soon as background check, application and intellectual property is complete, but training core training must be taken at the earliest opportunity.
