Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on September 16, 2009 |
Volunteers in our food pantry accept donations from the public, record those donations, and put them on the shelves. They also assist our clients by providing a brief orientation of how our pantry operates. When they have completed their shopping, volunteers will weigh and record the weight of the clients selections. Our minimum age for volunteers is 15; however we will accept younger volunteers with a parent or guardian. A brief training is provided, and we assign new volunteers with "seasoned" volunteers so that they can become comfortable in the role. This opportunity is sponsored by: Frisco Family Services Center

Overall Experience

Great way to help my community, fellow man and myself grow in God.

My family is very blessed, and volunteering is my means of giving back to our community and being involved. There is no greater gift than giving unselfishly of oneself. I have made many life-long friends and touched many lives. posted by Hurricanealley on December 21, 2003 |
