A volunteer willing to take on the responsibility of activity director is needed at an assisted living facility.  This volunteer position requires the individual to go through a volunteer orientation and commit to 5-8 hours per week. It is important that this individual enjoys working with the elderly as well as volunteers.  It will be his/her responsibility to create opportunities for volunteers to help or socialize with the residents as well as supervise and direct volunteers in these activities. A generous spirit and a kind heart toward people is an absolute requirement for this position.  Being somewhat creative in the development of activities is helpful as well as a creative and positive attitude when working with volunteers, residents and staff! This is a fun position that requires a fun and creative volunteer.
