Catholic Charities is a multi service agency of the Archdiocese of Newark serving the people of Bergen, Essex, Hudson and Union counties. CC was created as a witness to the scriptural commands to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless and give hope to those in need, "When you did for the least of these... you did for me." CCAN provides help and creates hope through quality programs, innovative projects and advocacy for families, children, men and women through behavioral, educational and social services within the limits of our fiscal and human resources.

Description:
Our agency offers shelters to the homeless, services to children in protective care, welfare to work programs, services to inmates and immigration and refugee services among other programs. In Union County we specialize in our services for the elderly.

History:
Our agency has been a part of the social services of the Archdiocese of Newark for more than 104 yrs.
